Bywaters Demonstrates Services at 2017 London Facilities Show
We’ll be at stand Q1160, so come and say hello and find out more about the work we do, and the sustainable waste management and recycling services we offer to our clients.
Our Dedicated Green Gurus
A key part of Bywaters’ service is our dedicated Sustainability Team – personal sustainability advisers for our clients. Our Green Gurus are able to provide not only expert knowledge of the waste and recycling industry, but also an educational service and sustainability training to promote recycling and reuse initiatives, and an innovative new waste audit app that delivers same-day reports.
Many members of the Bywaters Green Guru team will be at the upcoming Facilities Show to demonstrate the value that they can bring in the area of facilities management. With their expertise, you’ll be able to cut costs and improve efficiency, at the same time as fighting carbon pollution and single-use plastics.
Tailored Sustainability Advice and Services
Our Green Gurus are what sets Bywaters’ waste management services apart from the crowd. They carry out in-depth audits of all buildings, and then provide ongoing training and communication in order to promote best practice in sustainability: guiding all staff to think and behave in a more environmentally-friendly way and act together to improve sustainability.
Additionally, they are able to recommend and install industry-leading waste tracking and weighing systems to monitor and measure waste production and contamination, enabling reporting with pinpoint accuracy. This data is then analysed to figure out the best solution, and our Green Gurus are able to implement:
- ‘Bag and tag’ systems
- New branding and signage
- Bar coding on bins
- New compactors and containers
Bywaters’ Green Gurus can intervene where necessary and improve recycling rates if they fall below target in any particular department or area of a building. They ensure that facilities and property managers can measure their impact, cost and compliance, and are always on hand for legislative guidance and consultation.
Making Waste Management Easier for FMs
Having responsibility for recycling and waste management in multi- ]tenanted buildings can mean facilities managers having to manage multiple suppliers, each with different measurement standards, which makes performance benchmarking almost impossible.
Our Green Gurus help FMs to implement waste reduction programmes for all sectors, from healthcare to events, embedding best practice behaviour among staff.
Using just one waste management company to handle waste for a multi-tenanted building means one point of contact, one central report and one supplier to manage. Environmental performance can be tracked and evaluated in a more standardised, quicker, and easier way – leading to improved efficiency and higher recycling rates.
