Reuse
In line with the waste hierarchy, Bywaters ensures that any reusable items are taken out of waste streams and diverted for reuse by charities or businesses that need them. We are able to offer a variety of reuse services to our clients, helping prevent the need for new products to be manufactured and eliminating any unnecessary pollution.
Recycle
Recycling services are at the heart of Bywaters’ operations, with our facilities able to sort hundreds of thousands of tonnes of waste for recycling every year. We are able to offer specific recycling services for all forms of recyclable waste, from different grades of glass to hazardous and confidential waste, and we never send any waste direct to landfill. Recover
Bywaters have a zero waste direct to landfill policy. All non-recyclable waste collected by Bywaters’ trucks is instead sent for recovery at Energy from Waste (EfW) facilities in London. Waste is incinerated at these facilities, and the resulting energy is used to generate electricity that helps power the UK’s capital. This is the most sustainable way to handle both non-recyclable waste and a large percentage of clinical waste.
Reporting
All Bywaters clients have access to our state-of-the-art custom-made reporting software: the Bywaters’ Reporting Analytics Dashboard (BRAD). Through BRAD you’ll be able to access all waste management data, emissions information, recycling rates, and service history at the touch of a button.
Equipment
Bywaters offers competitively priced skip, wheelie bin, and compactor hire services, alongside enabling our clients to purchase specialist pieces of equipment to improve their waste management infrastructure. Engineering
One of the services that sets Bywaters apart is our team of in-house engineers. We have engineers onsite to ensure our materials recovery facility never stops running, along with a dedicated team on call to respond to client requests. If any piece of equipment stops working at any of our customers’ sites, our engineers will attend to fix the issue within hours.
Tipping
If you’re looking for a cost-effective and sustainable location to tip, then Bywaters’ Gateway Road facility is the best you’ll find. With a minimum tipping charge of only 500kg and specialist machinery to sort waste for recycling, we can help you protect your wallet and the environment.
