London’s Electric Dustcart is Here!

We are proud to announce the arrival of Bywaters’ very first Electric Dustcart! The sky-blue, state-of-the-art vehicle has been nicknamed ‘Electric-City’ to reflect our mission of reaching Net Zero by 2030!

What are the benefits of our electric vehicle?

Designed to turn heads and change minds. Our state-of-the-art electric dustcart is powered by a significantly quieter motor than traditional dustcarts, making it ideal for use in residential areas. In addition, the unique design of our electric motor allows for smoother and more efficient operation, resulting in fewer emissions and less noise pollution.

Bywaters’ new electric dustcart is the genesis of a fleet of electric refuse collection vehicles we plan to roll out soon. The key benefits include; zero air pollution, zero fuel consumption, and zero noise pollution. We’re confident that Electric-City will make a big difference in improving the quality of London’s air!

John S Glover, CEO of Bywaters (LTD), took us through the process and aims our company has for its first electric dustcart, with carbon emissions and noise pollution clear priorities.

With Bywaters boasting London’s largest ever solar PV retrofit, the electric dustcart is charged from our East London home, using self-generated renewable energy. A clear step toward our plan of an Electric-City.
